The terms, in plain words.
This is a readable summary of the agreement, written so you can actually check it. It is not the final legal document — that is being drafted and will replace this page before we take payment.
What you are paying for
A subscription to one bothy — the workspace, its data and everyone you invite into it. The person or company that opens the bothy is the account holder and is responsible for the bill. Contractors and invited guests are never charged and never liable for the subscription.
What you can expect from us
That the service works, that your data stays yours, that we tell you about incidents (see Status), and that we give you thirty days’ notice of any price change with the option to leave before it applies.
What we expect from you
Ending it
Cancel any time from Settings. Access continues to the end of the paid month, export stays available for ninety days after that, and then the data is deleted. You can also ask us to delete it immediately.
Liability, briefly
Bothy is a tool for recording and billing work. It is not an accountant, a lawyer or a payroll provider, and the numbers it produces are yours to check. Our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding twelve months — the standard position, and the final wording will say so precisely.
The door is open.
Thirty days free for a team, free forever for one person. If it does not replace at least three things you pay for, do not keep it.
